Flying into Sky City Theatre for a limited season in February 2022, North Shore Music Theatre are set to take Auckland audiences on a ‘swankified’ journey to the Emerald City and back again in WICKED the Musical – with a 40 strong cast of local talent.
The second highest-grossing musical in Broadway history, WICKED tells the incredible untold story of an unlikely but profound friendship between two girls who first meet as sorcery students at Shiz University: the blonde and very popular Glinda (Teresa Wojtowicz) and a misunderstood green girl named Elphaba (Heather Wilcock).
Their extraordinary adventures in Oz will ultimately see them fulfil their destinies as Glinda – The Good, and Elphaba – the Wicked Witch of the West.
A lavish production aiming to attract audiences of over 15,000 WICKED will feature:
