Plot
The film is set in 1942 after German forces overran France. A young shepherd by the name of Jo discovers a group of Jewish children hiding on a farm near his village in the Pyrenees. Jo attempt to help a Jewish man to get the children to safety in Spain. But German soldiers stationed nearby are a constant threat.

This is a stunning and emotional film that is beautifully shot. The casting has been perfect and every character is well-rounded and believable. Noah Schnapp as Jo is simply wonderful.
Despite showing some of the uglier sides of humanity, this film is a testament to courage and resilience as well as the ability of human beings to put the welfare of others ahead of their own safety.
