Plot
Two detectives join forces to try and catch a serial killer who is brutally murdering women in Los Angeles. But for one of the cops, actions he took in the past come back to haunt him.
Acting
Probably the best role I’ve seen by Denzel Washington in a while, and while the ensemble cast was good, there were moments where performances seemed a little contrived.
7 out of 10 for acting.
Plot/Script
Thought it has elements we’ve seen so many times in past crime films, this one has some interesting twists and character arcs.
8 out of 10 for story
Cinematography
Some great visuals in this film and in many of the more grizzly scenes the lighting and sets ups are superb.
8 out of 10 for cinematography
Set/Costumes
Meticulous detailing in the locations and in particular the crime scenes without being over the top make this a gritty and believable film.
8 out of 10 for sets and costumes .
Entertainment
It’s a good film with some suspense and curious twists, but at times the acting feels a little too theatrical.
7 out of 10 for entertainment value
