The Writer is a play by English playwright Ella Hickson that debuted in London in 2018. It’s about a young writer who wants to create a career and life free from the power dynamics and patriarchy of the theatrical world. It’s a controversial work, and this month, Silo Theatre presents the play to a New Zealand audience.
