Movie Review: Twisters

Kia Ora Im Andrew and today Im looking at the film – Twisters

In this film a group of tornado chasers working on a way of disempowering storm systems face death and destruction as a swathe of tornados threaten Oklahoma.

Well…. I was expecting this to be quite the dud, and looking at the trailers you’d probably agree, but it’s actually a fun watch and keeps the energy going throughout the entire film. The action sequences and special effects are very well done and the acting isn’t pretty good too.

Sure, we have to suspend belief in many instances, and there are some silly moments in it, but it is very watchable. Daisy Edgar-Jones and Glen Powell are well matched as the potential love interests but thankfully the story doesn’t get too bogged down in schmaltzy romance.

So how did I score it?

Acting  7 /10

Story/Script  6 /10

Cinematography   8 /10

Set/Costumes 7 /10

Entertainment value 7 /10

That gives Twistersan average score of  7.0 / 10
