This week it became known that the New Zealand AIDS Foundation would not be participating in the Rainbow Parade in Auckland on the 20th February 2021. That news has been greeted with shock and annoyance by some in the Auckland queer communities. The parade itself has now been postponed and we are waiting on a new date to be announced.
Today, to talk about this issue I’m speaking with Michael Stevens who was a board member of the NZAF from 1998 to 2004 and chair of the board from 2000 – 2004. He has been a life member of the foundation since 2010.
