Let Him Go is a film with an innocuous title that belies a very surprising and dramatic film…

After the death of their son, a retired cop and his wife go on a journey to rescue their grandson from the clutches of a sinister and dangerous family.

Acting

Superb performances by the core cast, especially Lesley Manville who conjures up a chillingly manic super bitch.

Initially glacially slow, the story draws the audience in and then hits them with an incredibly intense and anxiety ridden finale. It is also never predictable.
