Plot

Acting

Superb performances by the core cast, especially Lesley Manville who conjures up a chillingly manic super bitch.

Plot/Script

Initially glacially slow, the story draws the audience in and then hits them with an incredibly intense and anxiety ridden finale. It is also never predictable.

An exquisite construction of imagery in a picturesque part of America creates a beautiful look for this film.

The film is set in the early 1960s and the filmmakers have created an authentic recreation of that time period.

Entertainment 

A little slow in parts, but this film will snare you into it’s evolving and well constructed plot and the performances are a joy to be held.
