New Zealand Opera’s new production of La bohème opens at the Aotea Centre tonight for the first of five Auckland performances, before transferring to Wellington.

Love and beauty are the central themes of this production, created by Director Jacqueline Coats with an award-winning trio of designers – Elizabeth Whiting (costumes), Rachael Walker (set) and Jennifer Lal (lighting).
The cast is joined by the Freemasons New Zealand Opera Chorus and the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra in Auckland and Orchestra Wellington in the capital.
