DECULT is the first Cult Conference to be held in New Zealand and will consist of workshops and talks with experts on cults and cult survivors. It is being held in Christchurch on the 19th and 20th of October 2024.
One of the organisers is Anke Richter, a prolific writer and journalist known for her insightful commentary and engaging storytelling.
Born and raised in Germany, Richter developed a passion for literature and journalism from a young age. After her training in Los Angeles, she honed her skills in research, writing, and reporting in newsrooms and as a freelance correspondent and wrote four books.
In this interview with Andrew Whiteside she discusses her book Cult Trip and how all of us are vulnerable to the devastating effects of cults.
