About this event: (copy provided by Beginners Guide)

How come some people seem to have an endless flow of new ideas and can effortlessly solve creative or story problems?

They don’t have special creativity – they just know how to tap into their creative ability rather than waiting for inspiration to strike.

Maybe you want to get better at innovative idea generation.

Maybe you just want to rediscover your best creative self this year – and need a creative reboot.

Our dynamic Ignite Your Creativity workshop takes you on a delicious creative journey. It teaches you practical techniques that will turbo charge your creative process and will improve your work.

Learning how to get better and faster at idea generation and problem-solving is an INVALUABLE skill to add to your writing toolkit.

And will help you get out of that creative slump.

We’re all equipped with a perfectly good ideas factory – so let’s spend a day learning how to make it work harder and better!

Who is this workshop for?

Writers and creatives of every type!

I have worked with screenwriters, novelists, journalists, romance writers, short story fiends, memoir peeps, playwrights, bloggers, comedians, copywriters and non-fiction writers. (Other creatives will also find this workshop useful.)

It doesn’t matter if you write fiction or non-fiction, whether you’re brand new or a pro.

Facilitator: Kathryn Burnett

Kathryn is an award-winning screenwriter, playwright and workshop facilitator based in New Zealand. She has been a professional writer for over 20 years and knows a thing or two about coming up with great ideas fast. She has taught creative brainstorming to thousands of writers at numerous writing conferences and facilitates a regular sell-out workshop at the Auckland Writers Festival.

Just starting out? No problems – you’ll leave energised with lots of ideas and brainstorming toolkit to use moving forward.
